Attack on Usman Dar’s House : Mother Points At Khawaja Asif
In Sialkot, a recent development has unfolded where the mother of Usman Dar, a prominent leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has made serious allegations against Khawaja Asif. In a compelling video statement released on Tuesday, Dar’s mother detailed a distressing incident that occurred at her residence, accusing Asif of orchestrating an attack.
According to Dar’s mother, the assailants, allegedly sent by Khawaja Asif, forcibly entered her house by breaking the door while she was asleep. She narrated the traumatic experience of being manhandled, disclosing that her shirt was torn, and her hair was pulled during the ordeal. In a plea directed towards Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, she urged for attention to be given to this distressing incident.
Undeterred by the attack, Dar’s mother expressed her determination to file nomination papers for the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8 next year. She claimed that the attack was a response to her decision to participate in the political process and that she will not succumb to any pressure.
“I have nothing to do with vengeful politics,” responded Khawaja Asif when confronted with these serious allegations. He emphasized that he has consistently respected his political rivals and their families. Asif highlighted the legal challenges faced by his wife and son, asserting that false cases have been fabricated against them without any political affiliation.
In a broader context, Asif recounted his political history, stating that he faced legal issues during the administrations of both Pervez Musharraf and Imran Khan. Despite spending six months in prison, he maintained that nothing substantial could be proven against him. Asif asserted that his political ideology is rooted in commitment, principles, and loyalty to the people.
Adding another layer to the story, the District Police Officer (DPO) Hasan Iqbal provided a different perspective. He claimed that the police had raided Dar’s house to apprehend Umar Dar, who is wanted in various cases. The DPO stated that during the raid, the women in the house used abusive language, dispelling the claims of physical assault. According to him, Umar Dar had taken actions against the state, leading to the registration of cases against him.
This complex and evolving situation involves not only political rivalries but also legal issues, raising questions about the motivations behind the alleged attack and the subsequent police raid. The contrasting narratives from the involved parties add layers of intrigue to this unfolding drama, leaving room for further investigation and scrutiny.
