She also highlighted the initiation of the Industry Academia Bridge Program, a pioneering venture aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry, thereby empowering IT students with practical training opportunities and ensuring a smooth transition into the professional sphere.

Taking the stage on the inaugural day of the event at Lahore’s esteemed Expo Center, Khawaja expressed profound pride in Pakistan’s role as a founding partner of the Digital Cooperation Organization, a global entity established in November 2020 to champion digital prosperity on a worldwide scale. This, she asserted, underscored Pakistan’s readiness to assume a leading role in the global IT landscape.

“Pakistan’s digital prowess and its stature as a global stakeholder are emblematic of its vibrant youth, with the nation producing a commendable 10,000 IT graduates annually,” she proclaimed, her words resonating with conviction. “Together, we shall forge Pakistan into an IT hub, for IT serves as the linchpin for the growth and advancement of all sectors.”

In a testament to its global appeal, a diverse delegation of international investors hailing from twelve different countries has graced the event, poised to explore investment opportunities that are projected to swell to a staggering $500 million, according to reports from Pakistani state media.

Further amplifying the event’s international allure are the illustrious participation of renowned technology juggernauts, both on the international and national fronts, including industry titans such as Microsoft, Inbox, Red Hat, TP-Link, Lenovo, HP, NetSol, Abacus, and Dell.
